COUNTY RECORDER
The County Recorder keeps public records and is in charge of voter registration and early voting. The County Recorder keeps public records so the public can access public records and government information as needed for personal and/or business purposes. For elections, the County Recorder’s Office is in charge of processing and maintaining voter registration records. Additionally, the County Recorder’s Office administers early voting, including mailing out early ballots and verifying early ballot affidavits.

STEPHEN RICHER
The 30th Recorder of Maricopa County. Elected in November 2020 and took office January 2021.
Prior to his election as Recorder, Stephen worked as a lawyer and business person. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University, a master’s degree from the University of Chicago, and a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School.
Stephen and his wife live in South Phoenix.
